We took part in the 4th Charity Gala of the Acaye Foundation.

Our commitment to research and support for leukaemia patients leads us to participate in charity initiatives that aim to make a positive impact on society. This is why the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation was present at the 4th Acaye Foundation Charity Gala, an event that brought together people and organisations committed to the fight against childhood cancer.

The Acaye Foundation, which works as a partner organisation of the José Carreras Foundation, took a major step forward in its development at this gala by officially becoming a foundation. This organisation was born out of a family’s experience with little Cayetano, who died of leukaemia. His family has turned the struggle and pain into hope for other families by working tirelessly to improve the quality of life for children with cancer.

The gala, held last Thursday 30th January in the town of Dos Hermanas (Seville), was a meeting point for solidarity, awareness and fundraising for research projects. We at the Josep Carreras Foundation had the opportunity to share our work and strengthen synergies with other organisations and collaborators who are working towards the same goal: to one day find a 100% cure for leukaemia and other blood diseases.
