On Saturday, June 28, the CaixaForum in Seville hosted a new edition of the Day of the Unstoppables, an event organized by the Josep Carreras Foundation against Leukemia that has become a symbol of hope and unity.
In its 14th edition, this moving day brought together leukemia patients and others affected by malignant blood diseases, as well as their families, healthcare professionals, researchers, and local associations committed to the cause.
It was a day full of emotion, where the testimonies of people who have experienced the disease firsthand deeply resonated with attendees. Patients who have overcome leukemia, donors who have offered a second chance at life, and healthcare professionals who dedicate their lives to fighting these conditions shared experiences that left a lasting impression on everyone present.
The atmosphere at the CaixaForum vibrated with the energy of those who refuse to give up. A representative of the Josep Carreras Research Institute highlighted the advances made in treatment and research, reinforcing the message that, with support and commitment, we are getting ever closer to making these diseases 100% curable for everyone, in every case. Local associations, steadfast allies in this fight, also had space to showcase their tireless work.
Once again, the Day of the Unstoppables became a celebration of life, science, and solidarity — a moving reminder that, when the strength of the community joins forces with the power of research, no obstacle is insurmountable. Because every shared story, every hug, and every step forward reminds us that the goal is near — and that together, we are Unstoppable.
