We are adding a new home away from home to our network of supportive accommodations

This month we’re adding a new accommodation flat… making a total of 9! On this occasion, it’s a temporary assignment kindly offered by a supporter of the Foundation.

In March of this year, the seven organizations in Barcelona that provide accommodation flats organized a press breakfast with the aim of highlighting the work we do and the importance of this resource, given the high hospital demand (you can read the news here).

This meeting allowed the media to gain first-hand insight into this reality and share it widely, achieving great media coverage. Thanks to the membership team, who included the story in the communications sent to our supporter base, one member got in touch with us to offer a flat located just five minutes from Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.

From that moment, a temporary agreement was formalized for a minimum period of one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to three. Together with the corporate partnerships team, we have been working over the past months to prepare the flat, which was initially empty, to get it ready and offer it as a new accommodation resource for our patients.

Thanks to this generous and supportive gesture, we can now offer a new home to patients who need it.
