Anna Giner, Head of Quality and Compliance at REDMO and the Josep Carreras Foundation, has been selected to join the Certification Steering Committee (CSC) of the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) as a rotating member from 1 January 2027.

Her appointment to the committee represents further recognition of REDMO’s work and involvement within the international WMDA community. In announcing the appointment, the organisation particularly highlighted Anna Giner’s contributions as a WMDA evaluator, as well as her strong engagement, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

The Certification Steering Committee plays an important role within the WMDA certification system and is responsible for overseeing the operation of the certification programme, including its procedures, outcomes, evaluation processes and improvement actions.

For Anna Giner, the appointment represents «an honour and a new responsibility» in representing REDMO internationally. She also wanted to extend this recognition to the entire team: «This opportunity is thanks to the work and professionalism of everyone at the Foundation, who contribute every day to ensuring that REDMO holds a highly respected position within the international WMDA community».

Anna Giner’s appointment to the committee therefore strengthens REDMO’s international presence and recognition and highlights the work carried out every day by the Foundation’s professionals to ensure the quality and rigour of processes related to haematopoietic stem cell donation and transplantation.
