FC Andorra Marks Leukemia Awareness Month

FC Andorra carried out an awareness campaign in support of the fight against leukaemia throughout the month of May. During this period, the Club helped raise awareness of the work carried out by the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation in support of patients with blood cancers and their families, while also highlighting the Foundation’s activities in the Principality of Andorra.

As part of the collaboration, the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation took part in the match between FC Andorra and Albacete Balompié, where awareness-raising activities were held to promote the cause. In addition, the Club organised its traditional charity shirt raffle to raise funds for the Foundation.

The collaboration concluded with a meeting at the Foundation’s headquarters between Mr Josep Carreras, President of the Foundation; Mr Albert Carreras, Vice-President; and Mr Ferran Vilaseca, President of FC Andorra. During the visit, Mr Vilaseca presented the Foundation with an official FC Andorra shirt and one of the charity captain’s armbands worn by the first team during its matches throughout the month of May.
