At the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation, we are launching a new edition of the Unstoppables Day, a major day of social mobilisation that will take place on 13 June across Spain with one clear goal: to raise awareness about leukaemia and other blood cancers and continue moving forward towards their definitive cure.
Under the slogan “Let’s paint the streets orange”, we are calling on patients, former patients, families, bone marrow donors, healthcare professionals and the general public to join this collective initiative which, year after year, brings together thousands of people committed to the cause.
The main event of this year’s edition will take place in Bilbao, in front of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, and will also be streamed online to encourage participation from people across the country.
After more than a decade, the Unstoppables Day has become the leading mobilisation event for our community. An initiative that highlights the collective strength of patients, families, donors, healthcare professionals and researchers in the fight against leukaemia.
A day to raise awareness in the fight against leukaemia
During the Unstoppables Day, we encourage everyone to take part by promoting solidarity initiatives in schools, companies, associations or groups of friends and by filling the streets with orange.
This year, we are also offering a personalised digital leaflet so that each person can share their life story on 13 June.
In addition, iconic buildings and landmarks in several cities across Spain will light up in orange to help raise awareness for the cause and strengthen institutional and public support.
Committed until leukaemia becomes 100% curable
The Unstoppables Day is part of our commitment to advancing scientific research, promoting bone marrow donation and providing comprehensive support to patients and their families.
Through initiatives like this one, at the Josep Carreras Foundation we reinforce our message: we will not stop until leukaemia becomes a 100% curable disease.
