The Josep Carreras Foundation and the Grupo Español de Trasplante Hematopoyético y Terapia Celular (GETH-TC) sign a collaboration agreement

The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation and the Grupo Español de Trasplante Hematopoyético y Terapia Celular, of the Sociedad Española de Hematología y Hemoterapia, have signed a framework collaboration agreement to jointly promote training, research, and outreach in the field of bone marrow transplantation, particularly from volunteer donors.

The signing took place at the headquarters of the Josep Carreras Foundation in Barcelona, attended by Dr. Montserrat Rovira, hematologist and president of GETH-TC, and Josep Carreras, founder and president of the Foundation that bears his name.

Following the signing of this agreement, the first joint initiatives will be launched in the coming weeks, including the call for applications for the “Josep Carreras” clinical research grants in unrelated donor transplantation, as well as the organization of the “Josep Carreras” academic symposium within the program of the next GETH-TC annual meeting.
