1st visit by Solidarity Promoters to the Josep Carreras Institute

On 28 November, the first meeting with some of our Solidarity Promoters was held at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute. The event provided an opportunity to share experiences, hear personal stories and bring the Foundation’s work even closer to those who support it on an ongoing basis.

During the visit, attendees were able to tour the Institute’s facilities and discover first-hand the work carried out on a daily basis in research into leukaemia and other malignant blood diseases, accompanied by Toni Garcia, manager of the Josep Carreras Foundation, and Dr. Francesc Solé, scientific director of the IJC campus and director of the myelodysplastic syndromes group. For many, it was their first opportunity to see how their collaboration directly contributes to scientific progress and the development of new research projects.

In addition to the tour, the meeting provided an opportunity to learn about the remarkable stories behind each charitable initiative. Each participant shared their motivation, energy, and commitment that drives them to support the cause, highlighting the human impact that sustains our work.

The Foundation would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated for their attendance, as well as those who, although unable to be present, continuously collaborate with our projects for their support.

This first meeting marks the beginning of a new phase that we hope to continue building together with our “Imparables” community.
