Better rest thanks to Fundación Mónica Duart

The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation and Fundación Mónica Duart have reached a collaboration agreement through which the Valencian foundation will donate mattresses for the accommodation apartments of the “A Home Away from Home” programme. This initiative provides free accommodation to patients with oncohaematological diseases and their families when they need to travel far from home to receive treatment at specialist hospitals.

Thanks to this collaboration, the first mattresses have already been installed in the Marquès de Campo Sagrado accommodation apartment, which was recently refurbished to continue providing a more comfortable, welcoming and suitable environment for people undergoing treatment for a serious illness.

More than just a place to stay, the Josep Carreras Foundation’s accommodation apartments provide a space of peace, rest and stability during an especially challenging time for patients and their families. For this reason, having high-quality furnishings and equipment that promote comfort and rest is essential to improving their quality of life throughout treatment.
