The Josep Carreras Foundation Against Leukemia has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the 2025 “Aid for Childhood” grant call by the Ibercaja Foundation, which has chosen 61 organizations nationwide. This collaboration provides valuable momentum to keep advancing in our mission: to make leukemia — especially the kind that affects children — a 100% curable disease, for everyone and in every case.
The support from the Ibercaja Foundation will contribute to the development of an ambitious project aimed at offering new opportunities to children with relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia — an extremely vulnerable situation that often carries a poorer prognosis and limited therapeutic options.
This research and clinical care project is committed to precision medicine and equal opportunities, connecting hospitals across the country to ensure that all children, regardless of where they live, can access the best available diagnostics and treatments.
For the Josep Carreras Foundation, the support of an institution like the Ibercaja Foundation is not only a recognition of the work we do, but also an encouragement to continue driving innovative initiatives in research and care for the most vulnerable patients.
Thank you, Ibercaja Foundation, for walking beside us in this shared challenge. Together, we are Unstoppable Against Leukemia.
