Until March 8, screens at OCINE cinemas are showing an advertisement by the Josep Carreras Foundation to promote charitable wills and legacies, as part of their senior cinema programming. This awareness-raising initiative invites reflection on how solidarity can endure over time and help build a future without leukaemia, even when we are no longer here.
Charitable wills and legacies make it possible for a commitment to a cause to continue beyond one’s lifetime, turning a personal gesture into a real opportunity to drive research forward and support patients and their families. In this regard, the Josep Carreras Foundation is part of the platform haztestamentosolidario.org, an initiative that brings together social organizations with the aim of informing and raising public awareness about this form of charitable giving.
This is not the first time OCINE has shown its commitment to the fight against leukaemia. Last summer, it already made its screens available to broadcast the campaign “So that the music doesn’t stop, let research against leukaemia not stop either,” helping to raise awareness of the importance of scientific research.
OCINE currently operates 28 cinemas throughout the country, with a total of 264 screens and more than 10,000 seats, making this collaboration a powerful and far-reaching platform for social awareness.
From the Josep Carreras Foundation, we would like to thank OCINE for its involvement and sensitivity, and for its ongoing commitment to a cause that unites us all: achieving the day when leukaemia becomes a 100% curable disease.
