A few days ago, we once again travelled to Sant Feliu de Codines (Barcelona) to take part in the closing event of the 6th edition of OnCodines Trail. Following a community walk and a celebratory gathering featuring a performance by singer Ramon Mirabet, the organisers announced the final results of this year’s fundraising campaign.
For the second consecutive year, the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation has been selected as one of the beneficiary organizations of this solidarity initiative, which year after year brings together hundreds of people to support health-related projects, particularly those focused on cancer. With every edition, the initiative continues to surpass expectations, demonstrating the strength of collective commitment and generosity.
Thanks to the commitment of participants, volunteers, sponsors, partner municipalities and organising entities, OnCodines Trail 2026 achieved a record-breaking fundraising total of €303,733 — the highest amount raised in the event’s history.
The funds raised will be distributed among the eight beneficiary organisations of this year’s edition: the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation, the Oncovallès Foundation, the Guttmann Institute, the Enriqueta Villavecchia Childhood Cancer Foundation, the Mollet Health Foundation, IRB Barcelona, Xarxa en Rosa and the Amb Cavalls project.
This support enables us to continue modernising the technological tools of the Spanish Bone Marrow Donor Registry (REDMO), streamlining information flows and reducing the time needed to identify compatible donors for patients requiring a transplant. From the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making this extraordinary achievement possible. Initiatives such as OnCodines Trail show that when a community comes together behind a common cause, the impact can be truly transformative.
Thank you for helping us remain unstoppable against leukaemia!
