We always want you to be up to date with our activities, and for that reason the 2010 report contains the following data (and much more):

– During 2010, 4,023 people have shown their desire to join our cause by becoming member of the Foundation.

– Throughout the past year we have started 768 bone marrow donor searches for leukaemia patients who need a transplant but do not have a compatible family member (81 more than 2009).

– Thanks to the searches for voluntary donors that we carry out all around the world, the Spanish transplant hospitals have been able to realize 404 bone marrow, peripheral blood and umbilical cord blood transplants in 2010.

– Together with the Government of Catalonia, we founded the José Carreras Research Institute against Leukaemia on the 30th of November 2010. The goal of the Institute will be to promote research of biomedicine and the development of personalized medicine for haematological diseases, especially, leukaemia.
