CHARITY HANDBAGS

“Handbags against … leukaemia” is an initiative created by Mrs. Begoña de Sobrecueva to collect funds and fight against this illness. The initiative involved an exhibition and an auction of handbags designed and manufactured by the Model group of Petrer city. Each handbag has been customized by one of the thirty renowed artists that have cooperated in the project. The exhibition and the auction were inaugurated on the 23rd of November at the Bamboos Hall of the Palau de la Musica Valenciana. Once the exhibition concluded, on the 18th of December 2005, Mrs. Sobrecueva gave the total of the collected funds to our Foundation.
The initiative “Handbags against… leukaemia”, is gaining recognition in each new edition. In the previous one, funds collected were given to Alzheimer patients’ association. Petrer’s city hall and his Major, Mr. José Antonio Hidalgo, have collaborated in this charity initiative donating the handbags.
