José Carreras acts at the Opera House in Vienna agains leukaemia.

Next Sunday September 15th, José Carreras will offer a recital on the occasion of the 25th anniversary after his comeback at the Wiener Staatsoper in Viena, in aid of the leukaemia Foundation that bears his name.

Thanks to performances like these and the generosity of the Viena Opera House and the members of the Vienna Philarmonic Orchestra -who will perform for free-, the José Carreras Foundation can continue to carry out its task: promote scientific research, find bone marrow or umbilical cord blood donors for patients who do not have a compatible family member, provide hospital infrastructure and provide social services for families who do not have financial resources.

All this to achieve its goal someday: that leukaemia becomes a curable disease in all cases.
