The José Carreras and Sara Baras show has travelled to a lot of different scenarios with great success and to impressive reviews. Now it arrives in London for the first time and for a good cause.

José Carreras, accompanied by Sara Baras will carry out the next 11th of December a charity recital in London’s Royal Albert Hall with the goal to raise funds for the fight against leukaemia. José Carreras will interpret songs by Gardel or Puccini, sometimes accompanied only by the famous pianist Lorenzo Bavaj.

The London Symphonic Orquestra, directed by David Giménez, the soprano Kiri Te Kanawa, the tenor Johan Reuter, and other artists, will also take part in this charity concert. In 1985, Josep Carreras and Kiri Te Kanawa recorded together, under the direction of Leonard Berstein, an emblematic version of West Side Story.

The funds raised by the concert will be destined to the José Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation and to Mencap, an English NGO that helps people with disabilities.
