New publication (and open!) of the European Manual for Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cell Therapies coordinated by Dr. Enric Carreras

The European Society for Bone Marrow Transplantation – EBMT has just published a very important update of the manual on bone marrow transplantation and cell therapies. This would not have been possible without the figure of our medical director, Dr. Enric Carreras, specialist in bone marrow transplantation, director of the Bone Marrow Donor Registry in Spain and coordinator of this manual. Our headquarters of the Josep Carreras Foundation in Switzerland has financed and, with this, has made possible that this work could be edited and, above all, that it be public. This new edition addresses the latest developments and innovations in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy. Consisting of 93 chapters, it has been written by 175 leading experts in the field. Discussing all types of stem cell and bone marrow transplantation, including haplo-identical stem cell and cord blood transplantation, it also covers the indications for transplantation, the management of early and late complications as well as the new and rapidly evolving field of cellular therapies. It is a work edited by Springer.
