The donation of bone marrow discussed on the TVE show, “Para todos la 2”

Did you know that you can save a life without any risk by becoming a bone marrow donor?  Are you aware of the importance of such a donation to the patients of leukaemia due to the fact that there are not enough donors in the world?  Did you know that 3 out of every 4 patients that need a transplant of this type do not have a compatible family member?  Did you know that the José Carreras Foundation administers the Spanish Bone Marrow Donors’ Registry? 

You can find all this information and much more if you watch the debate on “Para todos La 2”, in which Dr. Enric Carreras, the medical director of the Bone Marrow Donors’ Registry (REDMO), participated.  Also in the debate were Bianca Sisa, an ex-leukaemia patient and recipient of a bone marrow transplant from an american donor, and Javier Caparroz, a bone marrow donor who recently realized his donation to an English patient.
