There is no one better than our Unstoppables to explain to you, first hand, what it is like to organise a charitable wedding or celebration with the Josep Carreras Foundation.

“We gave hope to our wedding guests. We thought long and hard about the wedding favours, in the end we decided to make a donation on behalf of each of them to help cure leukaemia, to do our bit to help cure this disease, for its research, for fighting against it. We wanted to speak up on behalf of the Unstoppables, to thank the Foundation for everything they do, and we thought that our wedding could also raise awareness and increase the visibility of this cause, because every little helps, even little gestures go a long way. Always stay strong!”

“We wanted to celebrate Abril’s birthday in a special way. Because of the pandemic, we only invited our closest family, but we wanted to symbolically unite all our friends and family and invite them to give her the best gift one can have, research. Their engagement was astounding! They even shared the fundraising event among the families at the school and we managed to raise more than 2,400 euros. On 26 April, we all came together with a single wish: for childhood leukaemia to one day be 100% curable.”

“I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in 2018, at the age of 35. Apart from being yet another unstoppable, I am a member of the Foundation and we celebrated our charitable wedding on 12 June. It was a very small, but very emotional and touching wedding, with only the closest family. We gave our guests the test tubes filled with chocolates as a charitable favour. This way, we are doing our bit for the Foundation’s work through research, because research is life!”
