Hello! I’m Esther and in 2018 I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. During this process I have gone through 3 relapses, 4 different lines of chemo, an autologous bone marrow transplant in August 2019 and finally, in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, a bone marrow transplant from my younger brother, Pau. I am now recovered.
When you become Unstoppable you learn to be FEARFUL. It is part of your everyday life. You are afraid for yourself, for your family, for your friends, for your colleagues … Fear becomes a feeling that ALWAYS accompanies you. Learning to trust that all is well after such a long time spent between hospitals, which became my second home, and gradually leaving them behind, is scary. It’s tough. I sometimes have a feeling of helplessness, but little by little I have to learn to get back to my “new normality”.”
During the process of my transplant I was helping the Foundation by explaining ideas of what to take to an isolation chamber. You can see it here.
I send all you Unstoppables my strength!
